Holes

The latest book I read was The Blind Side by Michael Lewis. This book took me awhile to read but after I was finished I was happy I read it. The book is mainly about a young African American boy who was living pretty much out on the streets and the only care he had was by his mother who was a crack addict. After a rich family see's him out in the streets a few times, the wife of that rich family invites him to their home for the night. To make a long story short, Michael who was the young african american boy ending up living with this family and becoming a football star at the school he started attending. My question for you is if you were in Michael's situation, living on the streets with a crack addicted mother would you trust a family who you are nothing alike to take you in and care for you?
